Email’s not being opened ?

With so many emails being received today you really need to be specific and treat your list with respect.

  • Do you have good practices?
  • Are you trying to sell to them in every email ?
  • Are you trying to sell the same product over and over again
  • Worse are you trying to sell to them even when they have bought the product already? !
  • Are you trying to give them information that they haven’t signed up for ..marketing to your entire list rather than just a specific group?
  • Are you marketing the same everyone?
  • Would you market your product differently to a man than a woman?
  • When was the last time you emailed them – was it 6 months ago & once last week!

We tend to open emails that we recognise as likely to contain useful, timely information

Top Tips:

Be consistent and predictable

Send follow up letters when someone has purchased – good customer service

Send details of relevant events

Send emails with great top tips ..give value

Give them product choices ..if they would like the product but in a different colour offer it to them but do so quickly send a monthly newsletter

Reply to any enquires quickly

Always give value

What to record on your database:

  • Name
  • Gender
  • Email
  • Location
  • Married
  • Career

Build your database & use an autoresponder that can record who is opening your emails and what is being clicked on, who is buying what >>>>record, record, record >>>>>>

Then you can write better, more focused emails to your customers giving them the products and services that suit them

Hope this is useful

Great tips. Thank you for posting this information. It much appreciated. Do you have any tips for making a great subject? I think that is a very important element in getting your email opened.
